Leaked Benchmarks for Intel’s Upcoming Raptor Lake Refresh CPUs Raise Questions

The upcoming Intel Raptor Lake Refresh desktop processors have been spotted in a leak with benchmark results. The benchmarks are from CrossMark, a suite produced by BAPCo to gauge app performance and responsiveness. The leak includes results for both the Intel Core i9-14900K and the Core i7-14700K.

According to the benchmarks, the Core i9-14900K achieved an overall score of 2,265, while the Core i7-14700K scored 1,980. This suggests that the Core i9-14900K is around 14% faster than the Core i7-14700K based on this result.

The leak also provides information about the core counts of these Raptor Lake Refresh CPUs. It confirms that the Core i7-14700K will have more cores, specifically 20 cores, which break down into 8 performance cores and 12 efficiency cores. This is 4 more efficiency cores than the previous 13700K.

The Core i9-14900K is expected to retain the same core configuration as its Raptor Lake predecessor. Unfortunately, the leak does not cover clock speeds, but it’s anticipated that Raptor Lake Refresh processors will offer a relatively minor boost in performance compared to Intel’s current-gen CPUs, with a speculated increase of 200MHz across most of the range.
