Performance Upgrades That Impress
Intel didn’t just release new chips—they’ve made significant leaps in performance. Here’s how the new processors stack up:
- Core Ultra 7 265U vs. 165U: The 265U delivers up to a 1.30x boost in Procyon Video Editing benchmarks, making it a great choice for content creators.
- Core Ultra 7 265H vs. 165H: The 265H shows a 1.01x to 1.60x performance boost across Cinebench, Geekbench, and Procyon benchmarks.
- Core Ultra 7 265H vs. Older Models: Compared to a 4-year-old Intel Core i7-1185G7, the 265H offers a 2.84x improvement in Cinebench 2024 and a 2.42x boost in Geekbench 6.3 Multicore tests.
Intel also claims the Core Ultra 265H outperforms competitors like the Snapdragon X Elite-X1E-80-100 and delivers a 15% improvement over AMD’s Ryzen AI 7 PRO 360 in Cinebench 2024 Single Core tests.
David Feng, Intel’s VP of the Client Computing Group, calls 2025 a “pivotal year for PC refresh.” With the Core Ultra Series 2, Intel is targeting businesses and professionals who need reliable, high-performance systems. These processors are designed to handle everything from everyday tasks to intensive workloads like video editing, 3D rendering, and AI-driven applications.
Oh, also, before I forget, it would interest you all to know that alongside thw Core Ultra 2 Series of chipsets, Intel is also introducing the Assured Supply Chain program for select Core Ultra Series 2 products. Available in the second half of 2025, this program ensures a digitally attestable chain in the silicon manufacturing process. This means greater transparency and control for governments and organizations handling sensitive data.
