Instagram is rolling out an in-app post scheduler, enabling chosen users to plan their posts ahead of time without using Meta’s Creator Studio or third-party services. The Meta-owned picture and video-sharing platform now allow companies and artists to plan Reels, photographs, and carousels inside the app for up to 75 days. Before this larger (but still restricted) rollout, Instagram tested the function for a few weeks, providing a tiny fraction of its worldwide population access to the capability.
To utilise the function, qualifying users must first create their post and then click on “Advanced Settings” before sharing it with their followers. They may then click “Schedule this post” and choose a time and date for it to go live. They must then return to the post they were working on and click “Schedule.” According to TechCrunch, which broke the story, planned posts can be found under the “Scheduled Content” area of the hamburger menu. Although the procedure might be simplified, the functionality removes the need to utilise the separate Creator Studio website or app for a more seamless experience.
It’s unclear if the functionality will ever be offered to regular users – Instagram hasn’t announced anything about a broad launch. Instagram, on the other hand, has debuted Achievements in the same article that announced its in-app planner. Creators may get access to them by doing particular acts, such as partnering with another creator or creating interactive Reels with polls and quizzes.
