INDIKA Physical Edition Launches for Nintendo Switch

INDIKA is now available in a physical format for the Nintendo Switch. This release follows the game’s hardware rollout across other platforms, including its initial digital launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S earlier in 2024. The physical production is a collaboration between the original development team at Odd Meter, the publisher 11 bit studios, and retail specialist Silver Lining Interactive.

The game is set in an alternative version of late 19th-century Russia. Players take the role of Indika, a young nun who finds herself at odds with the rigid traditions of her monastery. Her story progresses when she is tasked with delivering a letter to a distant priest. During this journey, she is accompanied by a manifestation of the devil, who acts as a narrator and internal voice, frequently challenging her perceptions of faith and morality.

Odd Meter, the studio behind the title, was originally based in Moscow before relocating to Kazakhstan. This background influenced the game’s themes, which include a critique of institutional religious authority and the concept of blind obedience. The developers utilized 19th-century Russian literary influences, specifically the works of Dostoevsky and Bulgakov, in order to construct a world where industrial machinery and massive religious structures coexist.

The gameplay in INDIKA is primarily focused on exploration and environmental puzzles. It incorporates unusual mechanics, such as sections where the environment fractures under the influence of the devil’s voice, requiring the player to hold a prayer button to stabilize the surroundings. Interspersed within the 3D exploration are 2D pixel-art minigames that provide narrative context for Indika’s past. The game also features a symbolic leveling system where players collect experience points for “Shame” or “Repentance,” though the system explicitly informs the player that these points provide no practical gameplay benefits.

The Nintendo Switch physical edition includes the full game on a single cartridge. This retail version is intended to cater to the collector market and players who prefer physical media over digital-only ownership.

The physical edition of INDIKA for Nintendo Switch is priced at $39.99 in the United States and £34.99 in the United Kingdom. It is available for purchase through major retailers including Amazon, GameStop, Walmart, and Best Buy, as well as the Silver Lining Direct online store. The retail version launched on November 28, 2025, following the digital Switch release on November 17, 2025.
