Incredible Minecraft Fan Builds Statue of a Fox

On Reddit, a Minecraft player uploaded photos of their extremely cute passion project, a gigantic fox statue inspired by a Minecraft LEGO kit. They’re likely to offer a grin to gamers who can pull themselves away from the all-new Soccer Celebration in Minecraft long enough to look at the photograph.

Minecraft, with its randomly generated environments and freeform construction features, has won the hearts of creative players all around the world since its first release in 2011. Minecraft has grown to become the best-selling game of all time and one of the gems in publisher Xbox Game Studios’ crown, thanks in no little part to its availability on practically every platform capable of playing video games. Minecraft was inspired in part by the fun of constructing with LEGO, and inventor Markus “Notch” Persson even briefly worked on a rejected LEGO Minecraft game, so it’s no surprise that some players are utilising real-world building pieces as inspiration for their own Minecraft creations.

User Java-Jumper uploaded photographs of their fantastic Minecraft fox statue in a post on r/Minecraft. The huge building dwarfs Java-avatar Jumper’s as it sits barely visible atop the fox’s curled-up tail, inspired by a LEGO Minecraft set with a similar look. The phrase “Foxtrot” is spelt out above the entrance to the giant fox’s interior, a nod to a prominent Ukrainian electronics retail chain. The finishing touch on this lovely design is a pair of huge sunglasses similar to those worn by the creator’s character.

The charming artwork pleased Minecraft enthusiasts in the comments, with many pointing out its likeness to The Fox Lodge set in the LEGO Minecraft collection. Several players offered recommendations for enhancing the charming fox’s appearance, while one commentator quipped that Java-Jumper should trap some foxes to keep inside their larger twin. While this in-game Minecraft structure was inspired by the classic Danish building blocks, fan works such as an outstanding LEGO Kaer Morhen based on The Witcher 3 demonstrate that games can be a wonderful source of inspiration for LEGO builders.

This endearing Minecraft creation is an excellent illustration of what players can create in the sandbox game with enough time and effort. The creative alternatives provided by the block-based function Object() { [native code] } appear to be limitless, ranging from gigantic, fluffy foxes to sprawling soccer stadiums. With thousands of kids learning to code using Minecraft throughout the world, Mojang’s blockbuster game might soon enable gamers to channel their creativity into all sorts of unexpected locations well outside the game’s environment.

Minecraft is now available on mobile, PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Switch, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
