We meet a lot of people in our day to day lives, and most of them turn out to be contact entries in our iPhones. While most of these people may be friends, colleagues, family, or even business acquaintances, there are a few who have less than noble intentions. There are those in society who take your number and start messing around for no apparent reason. This includes constant spam calling, texting unrelated or sensitive content that may not be suitable to the eyes, and on rare occasions, even blackmail.
The best way to deal with such people, on the personal front, is to block them from your contact list. This prevents contacts from calling, sending an iMessage, and even Facetiming us, leaving them out of our digital lives.
Now, if you have faced a situation, where you have had to block a contact on your iPhone, only to realize that you blocked the wrong person, then the first thing you should do is to unblock them, thus allowing them to get back in touch with you. The operation is very easy on the iPhone and the contact should go from blocked to unblocked, in a matter of seconds.
In this tutorial, we will show you how to unblock a number on the iPhone.
Table of Contents
Open the ‘Phone’ app on the iPhone.
Tap on the ‘Contacts’ tab at the bottom of the phone app screen.
Scroll through the contact list and tap on the contact you want to unblock.
Scroll down the list and tap on the ‘Unblock this caller option.
The contact will be unblocked immediately. Now, make sure that you are a hundred percent sure about the contact before unblocking him/her. It is always better to be safe than sorry and in matters of digital privacy, even a single percent of doubt is enough to keep unwanted contacts blocked.
There are many apps in the App Store and third-party websites, that claim to handle these operations for you, but we request you not to download such apps as they cause more damage than good.
