Recently, Zoom and the popular messaging app, Slack announced a collaboration where teams who use Slack for collaborating from around the world, can now set up and join a Zoom meeting from within Slack itself. Whenever there’s an idea that needs to be discussed, a member can simply type in “/zoom” into Slack, and a meeting link will appear directly in your Slack conversation for you and your teammate to join.
Usually, whenever you set up a Zoom Meeting or join a Zoom meeting, your display name will be identical to the profile name that you had set up while logging into the app. Sometimes, there may be situations where you need to display your name as maybe a brand or add a company name along with your display name. Fortunately, the Zoom app allows you to easily change your display name right inside a conference, and as many times as you want.
In this tutorial, we will show you how to easily change your display name on Zoom.
Step 1. Open the Zoom video conferencing app on your computer.
Step 2. Set up a new meeting or join a meeting using the invite link or meeting ID.
Step 3. On the meeting screen, click on the ‘Participants’ button on the toolbar.
Step 4. Hover over your name in the list and click on the More button.
Step 5. Click on the ‘Rename’ button from the drop-down menu.
Step 6. Enter the desired name and then click on the Rename button to confirm the operation.
You will now see that your display name will change in the meeting window. You can perform this operation as many times as you want within a meeting.
