When it comes to data privacy and security, no device comes closer than the iPhone. Apple’s attention to detail, when it comes to privacy and protecting the user’s content has reached levels that no other brand has been able to achieve, and it’s a great sign going forward.
Now, one of the aspects, where this privacy is most important, is when we start maintaining multiple accounts on the internet. There are many sites today, that require you to create accounts, in order to access the content that is available on the platform. While most allow you to use your Apple ID or Google account to sign up to the site, there are some that require dedicated accounts.
Creating an account is easy, but when you create multiple accounts across different websites, remembering the passwords can be a bit difficult. To help you with this problem, the iPhone allows you to save your passwords inside a ‘keychain’. Protected by Touch ID or Face ID, the keychain is a secure location within the iPhone, that stores all the passwords you have created and chosen to save.
In this tutorial, we will show you how to access the saved passwords on the iPhone.
Table of Contents
Open the ‘Settings‘ app on the iPhone.
Scroll through the settings menu, and tap on the ‘Passwords‘ option.
Authenticate the access using the Touch ID or Face ID, depending on the iPhone you have.
You will now see a list of saved passwords within the keychain. here, you can manually enter a new password for a particular website, or even edit the existing entries. Please ensure that you do not open the passwords section when you are in the presence of other people. It can potentially lead to dangerous consequences. Stay alert and stay safe. Passwords hold the key to sensitive data, and losing this information to anyone, is a dangerous situation.
