Rockstar Games has updated the world of GTA Online with several holiday activities for players to enjoy. This update brings festive decorations to mansions and the return of snow to the streets of Los Santos. Players can participate in the Yeti Hunt event or engage in snowball fights with other users. These activities provide a break from the standard missions and allow the community to celebrate the season with unique gameplay mechanics. Tracking down hidden snowmen throughout the map will also reward players with a special holiday outfit.
The update also features the return of a character called the Gooch, who acts as a parody of the Grinch. This character can appear randomly to ambush players, adding an element of surprise to the daily experience. Beyond these events, players can tackle new missions and listings to earn significant in-game currency. Those who completed specific missions earlier in the month are eligible for large discounts on high-end real estate. This makes it a great time for players to expand their criminal empires while the holiday theme is active.
We will be treated with new vehicles and equipment
A new high-performance vehicle called the Progen Luiva Supercar has been added to the game as part of this update. This car is available for purchase at Legendary Motorsport and is also showcased in the Luxury Autos window display. The addition of new vehicles is a regular part of these updates, giving long-time players new goals to work toward. Along with the supercar, players can find seasonal weaponry like the Snowball Launcher and the Candy Cane melee weapon. These items are often only available during the winter months, making them rare collectibles for dedicated fans.
The holiday season in Los Santos also includes special visual changes to the environment. The arrival of snow affects how vehicles handle, creating a different driving experience for everyone. This seasonal change is highly anticipated by the community every year because it transforms the familiar map into something new. Whether players are racing through the snow-covered hills or flying over the decorated city, the update provides a fresh atmosphere for all types of gameplay. These small details help keep the game feeling alive even after many years of service.
Release information
The holiday update and its associated rewards are available to all players of GTA Online on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox starting in late December 2025 and running through January 7, 2026. Access to the holiday content and the ability to claim free gifts is included with the standard game at no additional cost. To receive the login bonuses, such as the Season’s Greetings Sweater and the New Year Fireworks Bodysuit, players simply need to log into the game at least once during the event period.
While the update itself is free, some of the new items and properties require in-game currency. The Progen Luiva Supercar and various luxury mansions are sold for GTA$, which can be earned through gameplay or purchased via Shark Cards. Members of the GTA+ subscription service receive extra benefits during this time, including a bonus of one million dollars off any mansion property. The free items, like armor and ammo refills, are automatically added to the player’s inventory upon logging in. All seasonal items and modes will be removed once the event ends on January 7.
