GTA 5 allegedly makes a massive and bizarre change to its anti-cheat system

The newest patch for Grand Theft Auto V on PC eliminates 95% of the game’s anti-cheat system, according to Rockstar Games insider and dataminer Tez2. While some joked that it didn’t seem like a huge concern because the game was already plagued by cheats. No one knows why Rockstar made such a drastic adjustment as of yet. If Tez’s information is correct, this might suggest the game is getting a new, revamped anti-cheat mechanism. Rockstar Games has yet to explicitly state that it has updated its anti-cheat system but given that the firm just faced a huge breach that resulted in Grand Theft Auto VI footage being released, it wouldn’t be shocking if its anti-cheat system became more vulnerable.
