The ‘Standard’ mode is expected to cater to most users, wherein Chrome will block certain third-party cookies while permitting sites to track online behavior to ensure proper functionality. A ‘Custom’ mode will offer users the flexibility to manually adjust browser behavior, albeit at the risk of some site features.
While some of these features are not entirely new, Chrome users have historically needed to navigate through various settings to configure them. The introduction of a dedicated section for such controls is likely to be welcomed by users.
