Meaning – The term nice to have, refers to the act of having a good idea, which may not be immediately necessary. In an organization, there may be many suggestions being floated around by the employees, and while some of the suggestions may be applicable for the task on hand, but there may be some suggestions that may actually be good, but completely out of context. These suggestions are termed as nice to have, and they may either be taken up immediately on priority, put on the backburner for later, or even discarded entirely.
Example of usage – “When he put forward his thoughts on the matter, the manager termed the suggestion as a nice to have, and said that while it was not relevant to the project that was ongoing, they would definitely take it up on a later date.”
