Circular Log

Meaning – A circular log is an area of storage where the currently stored information is updated with a newer version. In an organisation, there is a repository of documents that holds all sorts of information pertaining to the organisation, the employees, the tools being used, and like everything else, these documents must be updated from time to time, and rather than piling on the documents, the organisations use a circular log, where they simply replace the older version of the documents with the newer version. This way, there is no confusion about the relevant document at that point of time.

If the older documents are required, they can simply be archived in a different location.

Example of usage “There was a dedicated team in the organisation, that was tasked with handling the circular log.”
