Mediatonic has announced the addition of new crossover cosmetics to the multiplayer battle platformer Fall Guys. These cosmetics are inspired by Capcom’s legendary fighting game franchise, Street Fighter, which will be featured in the third season of Fall Guys. This allows fans to dress up their beans as some of the franchise’s legendary characters with unique costumes, and it will be available very soon.
Sunken Secrets, an aquatic and marine theme, began off the third season of Fall Guys earlier on November 22. While Street Fighter isn’t strictly an aquatic-themed series, it isn’t without crossovers. Last year saw a slew of costume collaborations with Sonic the Hedgehog, Cuphead, and other fan-favourite characters. This newest collaboration with Capcom is no exception, featuring three outfits based on some of the franchise’s most legendary warriors.

This cooperation was revealed on the game’s official Twitter account, revealing that the outfits are inspired by the travelling warrior Ryu, the dangerous Killer Bee Cammy, and the wicked martial artist Akuma. These costumes are based on their original arcade appearances in Street Fighter 2, allowing players to dress up in Ryu and Akuma’s martial artist gis or Cammy’s leotard and beret. These outfits will be available for purchase from the in-game store beginning this weekend, November 26.
The official website also mentions that these clothes will have an emote in which the user may perform some of Ryu’s powerful moves. This features the Hadouken, Shoryuken, and Tatsumaki Senpukyaku as emotes, each with their unique audio clips. Furthermore, Fall Guys will include nameplates based on the character choice images of Ryu, Cammy, and Akuma from Street Fighter 2’s arcade edition.
The timing of this partnership is pretty suitable, given that Street Fighter will be celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2022, and the sixth numbered mainstream entry will be released the same year. Street Fighter 6 is one of Capcom’s most anticipated games, receiving favourable feedback from fans and beta testers. Fans are responding positively to this cooperation with Fall Guys, with some anxious to attempt and obtain these cosmetics. Others are expecting for additional crossover outfits based on other legendary Street Fighter characters such as Chun-Li, Guile, and Ken.
Fall Guys is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
