Smart home brand Eufy is unveiling a new series of “dual-camera devices” equipped with artificial intelligence capabilities, catering to various home security needs. The lineup includes four models: SoloCam S340, Floodlight Cam E340, IndoorCam S350, and Video Doorbell E340.
Leading the pack is the SoloCam S340, an outdoor camera capable of recording video in 3K resolution (2,880 x 1,620 pixels) with a wide-angle lens. While the telephoto lens offers 2K resolution (2,304 x 1,296 pixels), it compensates with “8x hybrid zoom” capabilities. The SoloCam can rotate a full 360 degrees and tilt up to 70 degrees, coupled with a 135-degree field of view, making it an ideal solo surveillance solution for monitoring front yards. It includes a mini solar panel for all-day power, requires no outlet, and features full-color night vision.
Similarly, the Floodlight Cam E340 records videos in 3K resolution and offers 360-degree pan capabilities. It distinguishes itself with a powerful 2,000-lumen floodlight but lacks a solar panel, necessitating hardwired installation.
The IndoorCam S350 stands out with its ability to record in 4K Ultra HD resolution (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) through a wide-angle lens. It also boasts AI-powered features, including Smart AI Detection for automatic tracking and zooming on subjects like pets or children, and Quick View for customized zoom levels, enabling users to monitor specific areas closely.
The Video Doorbell E340, while missing a telephoto lens, incorporates a “Package” lens facing downwards to detect items on the ground. It records in 2K resolution (wide-angle) and 1080p (Package lens) with color night vision.
One prominent feature shared across all these cameras is “Cross-Camera Tracking,” an AI-powered capability that merges clips from multiple cameras into one continuous chronological video. This feature ensures seamless tracking of individuals or events across different camera perspectives, eliminating blind spots. To utilize this feature, users will need to acquire the HomeBase S380 smart hub.
