Elden Ring is all set to get its own board game

Elden Ring’s vast Lands Between universe will soon be tiny enough to fit on your table. Steamforged Games, the studio behind board game adaptations of Dark Souls, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Resident Evil, has revealed plans for an Elden Ring board game through Kickstarter.

The game would enable one to four players to “embark on a massive and diverse journey, visiting famous locales and crossing paths with recognizable opponents and characters,” featuring dice-free fighting between bosses and smaller foes. According to Mat Hart, Steamforged’s co-founder and chief creative officer, “fans can anticipate a dark, richly-realized tabletop world of intrigue and danger, with intense combat and gratifying exploration.” More information on the game will be released by Steamforged as the release date approaches.

If the Margit miniature seen above is any indication of what to anticipate from the game’s artwork, things are looking up. Despite being barely bigger than a thimble, Steamforged was able to capture the Fell Omen in all his majesty, a feat the business also accomplished with the miniatures in some of its previous adaptations, such as the hunters and robots featured in Horizon Zero Dawn: The Board Game.

We don’t know when Steamforged will begin the game’s Kickstarter campaign, but if you’re interested, you can keep an eye on its Kickstarter website and sign up to be notified when it’s ready. The campaign has nearly 8,700 followers as of this writing.
