Available now in Early Access on Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG, the update brings fresh challenges, new cars, and innovative features to keep drivers on their toes as they race through the rugged, colorful landscapes of Rio Guacamole, Mexico.

Welcome to Rio Guacamole

The Rio Guacamole update transports players to the lively and picturesque streets of Mexico, where they’ll face 24 regular tracks and 24 reversed tracks that wind through diverse terrains. From sun-scorched deserts to lively villages and lush jungle roads, Rio Guacamole is as unpredictable as it is beautiful, challenging players to adapt to every curve, dip, and obstacle.

The map’s Mexican-inspired design offers a rich visual experience, combining vibrant village scenes with the raw energy of untamed nature. Whether speeding through dusty canyon roads or navigating tight city streets, drivers will need quick reflexes and strategic thinking to master this thrilling environment.

Meet Your New Co-Pilot, Juan

Say hello to Juan, the latest addition to the PepperBoi Racing Team, and your new co-pilot! Formerly a mariachi performer, Juan has swapped his musical career for racing, bringing his sharp reflexes, charm, and quick calls to help you navigate the challenging tracks of Rio Guacamole. With his guidance and support, you’ll have everything you need to conquer this vibrant, yet treacherous landscape.

“Juan adds a fun, charismatic dynamic to the game,” said Pixel Perfect Dude. “We wanted to give players a unique co-pilot who’s not only skilled in navigating the toughest tracks but also full of personality. He’s ready to race—are you?”

New Cars for Every Driver

In addition to the new environment, the Rio Guacamole update introduces three new cars that promise to elevate your racing experience. Each vehicle comes with 42 customizable parts, 12 color options, and 6 patterns, offering players endless ways to personalize their ride. The new cars include:

  • The High Five 1981: A stylish classic, perfect for those who love a mix of power and nostalgia.
  • The Shustryy 1977: A sleek, performance-driven vehicle that’s built for speed.
  • The Ladybug 1973: A quirky, yet reliable ride that’s sure to turn heads on the tracks.

Free Roam Mode

For players who prefer a more relaxed racing experience, the update introduces Free Roam Mode, allowing you to explore all five maps at your own pace. Whether you’re cruising through the Rio Guacamole or revisiting previous locations like Holzberg, Dry Crumbs, Revontuli, and Vinh Vang, Free Roam Mode opens up a new layer of gameplay.

Along with the exploration, Free Roam Mode offers the chance to discover hidden upgrades, collect scattered letters to unlock new locations, and earn unique rewards. Players can also enjoy the added convenience of a mini map to help navigate every corner, as well as the ability to personalize their cars further with dashboard and mirror add-ons. Each map features 5 hidden collectibles to unlock and equip, adding a personal touch to your ride.

Responding to fan feedback, #DRIVE Rally now features visible drivers and co-pilots inside the cars, enhancing the immersion and visual appeal of the game. No longer will players race with ghostly empty vehicles—now, both you and your co-pilot will be fully visible, whether you’re tearing through the tracks or capturing the moment in Photo Mode. This small but impactful change adds a new level of realism to the game, making each race feel even more dynamic.
