Despite the fact that it has been accessible for six years, Bandai Namco is not planning to discontinue support for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 anytime soon, as it is poised to release Hero of Justice Pack 1 for fans of Dragon Ball Super. As with past content releases, the pack will include new characters to the game in the shape of Gamma 1, Gamma 2, and Gohan from the recent film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, as well as a boatload of additional material. It will also offer a slew of new material for players to explore, however, the new characters look to be the primary emphasis of the new pack.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 was first published in October 2016, which was an unusually quick turnaround for a sequel after the release of Dragon Ball Xenoverse in February 2015. The game was the latest in a long line of 3D fighting games based in the Dragon Ball world, enabling players to combat some of the series’ most recognisable characters in highly destructible locations designed to mimic the anime’s mood. It begins after the previous game and follows the player’s character as they travel across time to stop a pair of demons from upsetting the series’ history by assisting the numerous enemies Goku and his comrades have fought.
As previously stated, the most recent content pack is based on Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero and introduces three of the film’s most important characters to the game. The newest characters to enter the conflict are Androids Gamma 1 and Gamma 2, while the film’s interpretation of adult Gohan is the newest variation of the character, among previous variants such as adolescent Gohan from the Cell Saga and The Great Saiyaman. Four new missions, new talents, new outfits, and other goodies are available for gamers to enjoy.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, which was released in June 2022, is just the second film in the Super series’ chronology, after the release of Dragon Ball Super: Broly in 2018. The film, like Xenoverse 2, drew significantly on the franchise’s past, including tributes to the original Dragon Ball series’ Red Ribbon Army Saga as well as Dragon Ball Z’s Android Saga and Cell Saga. It also provided Gohan and Piccolo with much-needed strength boosts in the form of Gohan Beast and Orange Piccolo, allowing the characters to stand alongside Goku, Vegeta, and Broly as they became stronger.
After the Hero of Justice Pack 1 is released, the question is what Bandai Namco may incorporate in Pack 2. Bandai Namco has a lot to work with in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. Piccolo and Cell Max stand out as two of the more plausible character candidates for a second film-based content pack. If Bandai Namco wishes to add a bit extra comedy to the game, there are lots of additional characters to pick from, like a young Pan, police officer Krillin, an older Android 18, and Fat Gotenks.
