In the realm of Diablo 4, a disconcerting issue has emerged as players encounter a “critical” bug within Player vs. Player (PvP) gameplay, rendering opponents virtually invincible. This bug, which was brought to light by a player known as DeadlyCrush, has raised alarm within the Diablo 4 community.
DeadlyCrush took to the Blizzard forum last week to detail their discovery of a game-breaking bug that disrupts the flow of PvP battles. The post describes how this bug transforms players into immortals within certain PvP zones, rendering matches practically unplayable against such opponents.
The post reads, “Someone found PvP zone immortal bug while PVP playing. Even without considering that PvP is endgame content, this is a very serious and critical bug that ruins the gameplay.”
The bug’s mechanics involve achieving invincibility by standing on the boundary between PvP and PvE areas and executing any skill once. Following this, a “normal” strike is performed, and subsequently, a Scroll of Cursed Chaos is used, bestowing invulnerability within the PvP zone.
The user adds, “If you return to town or leave the PvP zone, invincibility is canceled. However, you can repeat the above method over and over, leveling, farming, and accumulating the red powder.”
A video shared by a Korean player on their YouTube channel vividly illustrates the bug’s effects. In this footage, the opposing player’s health bar remains persistently full despite enduring a barrage of attacks, all occurring after the use of a teleportation scroll.
Another YouTube video showcases a similar scenario, where a player effortlessly weaves through battles, demonstrating their imperviousness to enemy assaults. While it remains unclear whether this bug is class-specific, comments from users suggest that it can be exploited by any class, as evidenced by the Sorcerer’s experience in the video.
As of now, Blizzard has yet to comment on the bug or provide information regarding when a resolution might be forthcoming. Given its adverse impact on the PvP scene, it is anticipated that the developer will address this issue in upcoming patch notes, ensuring a more balanced and fair gameplay experience for Diablo 4 enthusiasts.
