Ubisoft just announced a new crossover event between Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and the Capcom action RPG Monster Hunter World. The collaboration already allows Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players to customise their Eivor, mount, and scout with skins inspired by Monster Hunter World’s legendary beasts.
For Ubisoft video game lovers, this crossover event is not something that happened out of nowhere. An Assassin’s Creed Valhalla datamine has revealed that new armour sets from Destiny 2 and Monster Hunter World will make their way into the video game. The datamine was validated when the Destiny 2 armour was released on December 1. A Monster Hunter World-themed armour set is now available for players in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, just a few weeks later.

Ubisoft has announced on Twitter that the crossover between Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Monster Hunter World is now available in-game. The team included a brief video in the article detailing what players may expect from the cooperation. It features an armour set based on Monster Hunter World’s Odogaron equipment, a mount skin that makes Eivor appear to be riding across England on a real Odogaron, and a cosmetic skin that transforms Eivor’s scout into a miniature model of the ice monster Legiana.
The video for the partnership event also showed off many Monster Hunter World-themed weaponry that Eivor can carry and utilise in the game. The Garon Hatchet and Garon Rod are based on actual Monster Hunter World weapons, albeit the designs have been altered to fit the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla setting. Many fans of both video games showed their support for the crossover on social media. However, several questioned why it took so long for both firms to collaborate, especially considering Monster Hunter World had already collaborated with the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
Regardless of how long it took Ubisoft to execute the relationship with Monster Hunter World, players of both games now have more reason to continue playing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. With the development team’s support and material for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s The Last Chapter coming to an end, the community could expect the focus to shift to the next entry in the series. These tiny feature upgrades should keep fans entertained until the next Assassin’s Creed title is published.
