Ubisoft and Red Storm Entertainment have given gamers a sneak peek into the upcoming free-to-play title, The Division Heartland, by releasing a cinematic trailer that introduces the rural town of Silver Creek and a new villain named Killian Tower. In the survival-action shooter, players will take on the role of an agent who tracks down Tower in rural America to discover why their former commander went rogue and killed his entire team. While there is still no official launch date, fans can register on the game’s official website for a chance to participate in an upcoming closed beta and receive five friend invites.
Ubisoft has also revealed its roadmap for The Division 2 Year 5, which will kick off with the launch of Season One: Broken Wings, where players must rescue civilians taken hostage. Broken Wings will introduce a new free rogue-lite mode called Descent, which allows up to four players to play together without gear or specialization available in the main game. While Season One is not yet available, gamers can try out Descent mode on the Public Test Server starting today.
Lastly, Ubisoft has announced that the next test phase for The Division Resurgence mobile game will take place this summer. Fans can sign up now for the chance to participate, and those who do will receive a special Joint Task Force cosmetic outfit when Resurgence launches.
