Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is expected to continue the loose reboot approach seen in its predecessor, sharing some characters and key plot points while offering new surprises to keep the series fresh.
The game will coexist with Call of Duty: Warzone, the free-to-play battle royale mode that has been immensely popular since its release. Call of Duty: Warzone’s previous iteration is set to shut down in September.
