Mundfish has been the subject of controversy in addition to gameplay difficulties. Following receiving feedback for the racist cartoon, Mundfish issued an apology and deleted the animation from the game. In addition, although no more public remarks have been issued by the organisation, the game’s composer donated his proceeds to the Australian Red Cross Ukrainian Disaster Appeal. Overall, the game continues to garner great reviews and comments, and its popularity does not look to be waning anytime soon.
