Apple’s M3 MacBook Air may launch in March, alongside the new iPad Pro and iPad Air

Apple fans don’t have to wait long for the first hardware drop of 2024. According to reputed Apple analyst Mark Gurman, the tech giant is preparing to launch its new M3-powered MacBook Air in March, alongside the new iPad Pro and iPad Air. However, the much-awaited Mac Pro and Mac Studio will face a delay and will drop sometime towards the end of 2024 or even into 2025.

As far as the new generation iPads are concerned, Apple will be making clear distinctions between the offerings, making it easy for the customer to pick the one that suits their needs the best. The new iPad Pro will reportedly come in two size options -11 inch and 13inch. It will also feature the all-new Apple M3 chip and also have an OLED display. The new iPad Air will also come in two size options – 10.9 inch and an all-new 12.9 inch. The device will be powered by the M2 chip, putting it in the midrange bracket. Apple believes that by doing this, there will be a clear distinction between the entry-level, midrange, and flagship iPads, making it easier for customers to make a decision.

As far as the M3 MacBook Air is concerned, it will come in the existing 13- and 15-inch configurations, with the only visible change being the upgraded processor. This launch could also mean an end for the M1 MacBook Air. The Mac Pro and the Mac Studio, which will launch in late 2024, will be the last to receive the step up to the M3 chipsets.
