Alibaba has not said how it intends to use AI. But, the corporation is a powerhouse in online commerce and has its fingers in a variety of other industries, including cloud computing and banking. A ChatGPT competitor might be valuable in many of these areas, and could help Alibaba compete with Baidu and other Chinese enterprises looking to leverage AI as a competitive edge.
