Adobe has partnered with Google to provide a free three-month trial of Photoshop on the web and an Adobe Express Premium plan to purchasers of the new Chromebook Plus devices. This trial allows users to experience Photoshop on the web, which is a more basic version of the desktop program but includes essential tools like the spot healing brush. While it lacks some advanced features, Adobe has plans to add them in the future. Additionally, users can try out Generative Expand and Generative Fill powered by Adobe Firefly, which expand existing images and add or remove objects within images.
Adobe Express is an all-in-one creativity platform where users can create social media posts, edit videos, and use the Firefly AI to generate content. The Premium version offers more tools, including animation controls, background removal for videos, and access to Adobe’s extensive asset library.
After the three-month trial, users will need to subscribe to maintain access. Photoshop on the web costs $20.99 per month, and the Adobe Express Premium plan is available for $9.99 per month.
This collaboration between Adobe and Google brings Photoshop to Chromebook users, opening up new possibilities for creativity and productivity on the Chromebook Plus devices. These laptops are designed with a strong focus on artificial intelligence, allowing users to draft text for social media and create custom wallpapers using generative AI.
The new Chromebook Plus models will be available in the US on October 8, with availability in Canada and Europe starting on October 9. This partnership offers an exciting opportunity for Chromebook users to explore the creative capabilities of Adobe software.
