Activision confirms release of Call of Duty board game in 2024

Gaming enthusiasts who are seeking a novel way to spend Thanksgiving with their extended families have an exciting new option coming their way. Activision has partnered with board game publisher Arcane Wonders, along with Genuine Entertainment and Evolution, to launch Call of Duty: The Board Game. The game is expected to be a fast-paced blend of combat, strategy and tactical planning. The pre-orders for the game will be available for purchase on Kickstarter starting this fall.

Despite an announcement video that is reminiscent of the Marvel Studios production logo, details about how the game will work are scarce. However, what is known is that players and their companions will assume the role of soldiers and engage in combat with opponents, using a variety of weapons and combat skills. Arcane Wonders has mentioned that there will be multiple scenarios and gameplay modes to choose from, all of which will take place across maps inspired by the Call of Duty games.

It remains unclear whether players will be able to activate a nuclear bomb in their living rooms after achieving a high kill streak, which would result in wiping out everyone but still winning the game. More information regarding Call of Duty: The Board Game will be released in the upcoming months.
