New Kindle Scribe update allows seamless document transfer from Microsoft Word

Amazon’s hybrid tablet, the Kindle Scribe, is receiving a software update that offers new tools for its users. The most noteworthy feature of this update is the ability to send documents directly from Microsoft Word to the e-reader, allowing users to read and annotate documents while on the go. The feature is available through the export tab and requires an active Microsoft 365 subscription.

Similar to the pre-existing Send to Kindle web interface tool, the update also includes a new contrast slider that enhances the readability of both PDF documents and any physical notes added to the document via the stylus. This feature is available for any PDFs imported through Send to Kindle or for any pre-existing PDF documents available through the Kindle Store.

The Kindle Scribe, known for its ample screen size, now offers a multi-column layout feature for reading two pages simultaneously in landscape orientation. Additionally, a new bird’s eye view tool for notebook page management lets users see nine notebook pages at once, enabling changes to single items or entire batches. Users can now add, insert, move, or delete pages in pre-existing notebooks.

Amazon has been attentive to the needs of consumers and has consistently updated the Kindle Scribe with new features in recent months. Some of these new features include integrated subfolders, digital brushes, and more.
