The Megabuilding H10, the superstructure that holds V’s first apartment, has undergone a thorough redesign in a new Cyberpunk 2077 update. While CD Projekt Red’s current flagship surely didn’t scrimp on exploring chances, modders have taken it upon themselves to expand on this huge sandbox even further, as they are prone to do.
Despite the fact that Cyberpunk 2077 does not have as complete a set of modding tools as games like The Elder Scrolls and Fallout, the game has managed to delight an entire community of modders who slowly but steadily improve some of its characteristics. Because Night City is portrayed as a crucial component of the game, it’s not unexpected that people are devoting more time and effort to make it even more immersive than it currently is.
While some other Cyberpunk 2077 modifications have created totally new settings for V to explore, others have decided to update and improve on some of the game’s current locations. Krat0es already has an excellent collection of modifications that alter crucial in-game regions, adding levels of intricacy to them. Krat0es’ Megabuilding H10 Expanded, in particular, adds numerous more floors, hallways, and an actual landing pad for players to explore, transforming V’s first apartment building into a lot more intriguing site to spend time in.
A Cyberpunk 2077 mod by Krat0es that enhances the Afterlife club and Dewdrop Inn was previously made available. Similarly, they’ve made a thorough set of improvements for Megabuildings H6 and H8, providing gamers even more motivation to visit these sites. Of course, gamers interested in installing Krat0es’ collection of expansion modules need first instal the Cyber Engine Tweaks requirements, since the extra interactions will not function otherwise.
Now that Cyberpunk 2077’s sequel has been formally confirmed, it will be intriguing to see where CDPR takes the series next. For all of its flaws, the studio’s first effort into sci-fi has gone rather well, and with a thriving modding community backing it up and a major expansion on the horizon, it seems all but likely that the game will only become better in the coming months.
It’s also amusing to look back, given that the original Cyberpunk 2077 teaser was released a little over a decade ago. The game went through a somewhat turbulent production cycle, which meant that several of the issues alluded to in the teaser video were almost totally ignored in the final result. Even if the sequel fails to recreate the distinctive ambience of 2077’s first teaser, a particularly determined modder may succeed.
