Sonic Frontiers Gets an Action-Packed Trailer Before Its Release Next Week

With just a week before the game’s release, Sega has released an exciting new Sonic Frontiers clip featuring the Blue Blur in action.

Just a few days before Sonic Frontiers’ release, Sega and Sonic Team published a new, action-packed trailer for the game. The new Sonic Frontiers “Showdown Trailer” featured the Blue Blur taking on an army of enormous robots, sprinting swiftly across the landscape, completing acrobatic puzzles, and figuring out what was going on around him, while his companions stayed in tow and his opponents hunted him down.

Sonic Frontiers, developed by Sonic Team and distributed by Sega, will be the next in a long line of 3D-focused Sonic games. Sonic Forces, released in 2017, garnered mixed reviews from both fans and reviewers. Sonic Frontiers fans anticipate the game with both optimism and trepidation, hoping for more of the action seen in levels inspired by Sonic Adventure 2 and less notorious moments than 2006’s Sonic the Hedgehog.

The new clip was just under two minutes long and featured Sonic at the heart of the action. The trailer was made available five days before the game’s November 8 release date. Following the conclusion of the Sonic Frontiers Prologue, which premiered on YouTube only two days earlier, the teaser stepped up the pace. The game’s goals were announced in the video by the voice of a new character named Sage. Sage begged Sonic in the video to acquire the Chaos Emeralds, pull down the dungeon walls, and eliminate the Titans that afflict the islands Sonic and his companions find themselves on.
