They spotted the breach on October 25, making it clear it messed with just one server. The good news? Their main HQ and all other branches were apparently in the clear. They did the responsible thing and reported the whole shebang to the authorities in the Philippines, and now there’s an investigation in the works.
In a press release, Yamaha Motor spilled the beans: “Hey, one of our servers in the Philippines got hit by a sneaky third party in a ransomware attack. Personal info of some employees got leaked, too.”
