World of Warcraft’s Dragonflight Login Screen Now Features a Dragon Queen

The Dragon Queen Alexstrasza is currently rushing over the World of Warcraft: Dragonflight login screen.

The World of Warcraft: Dragonflight login screen has been modified to show a real dragon. The new login screen, which features Alexstrasza, is already accessible in the Dragonflight beta and will be available to all World of Warcraft players shortly.

World of Warcraft recently debuted a new login screen, followed by the primary theme of Dragonflight a few months later. The soaring and uplifting music and backdrop now contain a flyover of the Dragon Queen herself, set over a magnificent sight of Thaldraszus’ mist covered Tyrhold.

During the looping scene, Alexstrasza falls on one of Thaldraszus’ lofty pillars. She clings to it for a split second before flying off and gliding beyond the screen. The addition of action to an otherwise serene setting breathes new life into the login page. Given that every login screen in World of Warcraft’s history has had a gate, a dragon, or both, Alexstrasza’s inclusion in the Dragonflight login screen may be seen as unavoidable.

Players are relieved to see Alexstrasza appear on the login page. Many people said the original seemed empty without a few dragons flying about. Some players are hoping that as the Dragonflight updates develop, World of Warcraft would add more dragons to the login screen, ultimately leading to the sky being a multicolored canvas of dragons as in the introduction video.

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is almost ready to be released. The first phase of the Pre-Patch is now under progress, with the second phase on the horizon. Players will soon be able to build Dracthyr Evokers, explore the Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr dungeon, and take part in the time-limited Primal Storms global event. Dragonflight will be online a few weeks later, enabling players to explore dragonkind’s original homeland.

Some gamers are concerned that Dragonflight will not be ready for its November 28 release. Some speculate that World of Warcraft is hurrying to release the expansion pack in order to prevent a repeat of the Shadowlands delay. While feedback from the beta has been mostly good, some are concerned that Dragonflight may benefit from some more time for balance and bug squashing. Regardless, World of Warcraft seems to be committed to delivering the expansion on schedule, for better or worse. When that happens, players will be welcomed with the login screens of Alexstrasza and Thaldraszus for the following two years, until World of Warcraft publishes its next expansion pack.

World of Warcraft is now accessible on PC. Dragonflight will be available on November 28th.
