The second major addition is an enhanced backup system that aims to simplify the process of restoring a Windows 11 environment to a new PC or recovering from system crashes. The Windows Backup app enables beta testers to back up their PCs. During the restoration process, the app preserves settings, customization preferences, taskbar and Start menu pins, and Microsoft Store apps. While third-party apps from external sources retain their pins, users are directed to download the relevant installer from the web when launching these apps for the first time.
