Almost an year ago, Capcom announced that they were working on a sequel for their popular title ‘Dragon’s Dogma’. Gamers around the world rejoiced and the wait began. Since then, the developers did not provide a truck load of updates regarding the progress of this exciting project, and it looked there was a long delay in store. However, it looks like things are shaping up nicely, and Capcom has finally announced a release date for Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Dragons Dogma 2 will officially release on the 22nd of March, 2024, and will be available for the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Capcom has also released a trailer for the upcoming game, and we absolutely understand why there was a 12 year delay.
The original Dragon’s Dogma was criticised heavily for a mediocre interface, but gamers were treated to a fully customisable storyline, which made it a cult classic in its time. The new game will take place in a parallel world to that of the original. the story will follow Arisem, who has had his heart stolen by a dragon.
“Queen Regent Disa has installed a false Arisen to maintain control of the kingdom of Vermund for her son. Meanwhile, the beastren nation of Battahl considers the otherworldly Pawns to be a source of misfortune and have turned to worship of the Lambent Flame and their empress Nadinia to ward off calamity.”, said Capcom in a statement.
There are still a few months left before people can start enjoying this game, but you can pre-order a copy today. The standard edition retails for $70, while the Deluxe edition will cost you $80.
