Virgin Galactic’s First Commercial Spaceflight Set for June 29th

Virgin Galactic, the space tourism company founded by Sir Richard Branson, is set to embark on its first commercial spaceflight, Galactic 01, on June 29th. This long-awaited milestone marks a significant achievement for Virgin Galactic, which has been in development for several years.

Galactic 01 will carry a crew of three people from Italy’s Air Force and National Research Council, who will conduct microgravity research during the mission. While Virgin Galactic had previously indicated a late June launch timeframe, the company has now officially confirmed the date.

Following the inaugural mission, Virgin Galactic has already scheduled subsequent flights. Galactic 02 is expected to take place in early August and will feature a private crew. The company plans to conduct monthly flights thereafter, although specific details about future missions have yet to be disclosed. Notably, the first two flights will be streamed live on Virgin Galactic’s website, allowing enthusiasts and supporters to witness the journeys.
