Users can now categorise posts using the new Tabs feature on Threads

Threads is now rolling out tags, starting with testing in Australia and expanding to more countries soon. Now, you can spice up your posts with tags by adding a hash symbol before a keyword – you know, just like on other social media platforms. It’s a neat way to find posts about specific topics. To check it out, type a hashtag and your keyword in the search field. Easy, right?

But wait, there’s a catch – for now, you can only add one tag per post. That’s probably to keep things chill and avoid too much hashtag craziness. But who knows, Meta might tweak that as they go. It’s a work in progress, after all.

Even though Threads hasn’t reached Europe yet, it’s gaining traction. Mark Zuckerberg spilled the beans that Threads has nearly 100 million monthly active users. They’ve been adding cool features like the ability to delete Threads profiles without messing with your Instagram account and better control over sharing Threads posts on Facebook and Instagram. They even threw in pinned posts for good measure. Instagram boss Adam Mosseri even hinted that DMs might (or might not) happen through Instagram’s inbox.
