For instance, the well-liked Monster Hunter Rise ranked first among Nintendo’s top 30 titles from the Japanese eShop for 2021. Among Us and Pokemon, Brilliant Diamond came after it. The year 2020 has Animal Crossing: New Horizons when the epidemic first appeared. Despite the fact that the last five years have been somewhat dramatic, the Nintendo Switch generation has been incredibly successful.
The Nintendo eShop’s best-seller list for this year demonstrates that 2022 was yet another successful year. Unexpectedly, Splatoon 3 was the most popular eShop game in Japan. The multiplayer shooter surpassed the annual releases of each Pokemon game. However, no other game could do that, with Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Pokemon Violet, and Pokemon Scarlet taking second, third, and fourth place, respectively. The top eShop title from the previous year, Monster Hunter Rise, completed the top five.
