Disclaimer – We are using Snapchat for iOS, but the same steps are applicable for the Android app as well.
Step 1. Open the Snapchat app on your smartphone.
Step 2. On the home page, tap on your profile icon which is usually found on the top left-hand side.
Step 3. In your profile, scroll down and tap on the ‘Add Friends’ button.
You will now see two lists – One list will show you the Snapchat users who have added you as a friend. You can add them back if you want to.
Next, you will see a list of people from your phone contacts, who are on Snapchat. You can add them as your friend.
Finally, if you want to add a user to your Snapchat who is not on your phone contacts list, you can simply look for them on Snapchat by typing their name or Snapchat username in the search field. Just be careful not to add completely unknown people, as this can lead to misunderstandings. Have fun while remaining responsible on the platform.
