Step 1. Open the Facebook app on your smartphone.
Step 2. Tap on the ‘Menu‘ button on the home screen of the Facebook app.
Step 3. Scroll through the menu and tap on the ‘Settings and Privacy‘ button.
Step 4. From the drop-down menu, tap on the ‘Settings‘ button.
Step 5. Inside the settings menu, tap on the ‘Personal and account information‘ tab.
Step 6. Next, tap on the ‘Account Ownership and Control‘ option from the list.
Step 7. From the next screen, tap on the ‘Deactivation and Deletion‘ button.
Step 8. Since we want to delete the account, select the ‘Delete Account‘ option.
Step 9. Finally, tap on the ‘Continue to account Deletion‘ button and then follow the instructions to complete the process.
The account will now be deleted and you will lose all the data associated with it, so make sure that you go through the content on your account first and try to save whatever you may need for future reference, before deleting your account.
