After a leaked trailer revealed the news, it seems that Sony has followed suit and confirmed to the world that the remastered version of the hit game ‘The Last of Us Part 2″, will debut on the PS5 on January 19th, 2024. Improvements to the game include improved loading times, 4K graphics, as well as complete integration with the PS5’s Dualsense controller. All of this was leaked by multiple tipsters on X, but Sony quickly followed up and confirmed the news on its official channels.
Alongside the quality of life improvements, the remastered game will also feature a ‘No Return’ mode, which is a survival mode that has been designed to allow players to chart their own path through a series of randomised encounters. Players will also be able to play as unlockable characters that have never been in the game before.
The cherry on the top is that players will also be given access to early versions of three new levels that were not there in the original build of the game. This will get a lot more players who have the PS5 console to grab the remastered copy. Voiceovers will also be included from director Neil Druckmann, narrative lead Halley Gross, and actors Troy Baker, Ashley Johnson and Laura Bailey.
