The Epic Games Store’s free game causes server crashes

Due to the popularity of its current Christmas free game offering, the Epic Games Store is experiencing server problems and technical challenges. EGS users from all over the globe flocked to the shop in an effort to get their hands on the free game. Instead, they’ve encountered serious technical difficulties as Epic Games struggles to keep up with the traffic. While many customers were able to get through, others were required to log in dozens of times, reload their attempted purchase, or received an error stating that the servers were completely unavailable.

Since the opening of the Epic Games Store, Epic Games has made it an annual habit to distribute free games throughout the holidays. This year, Epic is providing 15 days of free games, which began on December 15 and will continue every day until December 29. Sable, Them’s Fightin’ Herds, Wolfenstein: The New Order and Metro Last Light Redux are among the games available. It’s been a fantastic run, but the Christmas Day free present is something special.
