Every anniversary, the game sends an achievement and celebration package to players via the in-game mailbox. The box contains an 18% increase in experience and reputation points earned during the event. The buff’s strength always corresponds to the anniversary number, and this year’s celebration follows suit. This perk helps players who are not yet at level 60 to catch up faster before Dragonflight lifts the level maximum to 70. However, it does not coincide with the release of the expansion or the Dragonflight levelling experience in any way. Players with several characters will have plenty of opportunities to catch up in Dragonflight and the pre-expansion patch as it stands.
Both groups’ ranks will expand throughout the anniversary. The second part of the Dragonflight pre-expansion patch will begin on November 15, and players will then be able to design their own Dracthyr Evoker to play and watch how they rose through the ranks of the Alliance and Horde. Though the experience bonus for the anniversary may be a moot issue for Evokers, the reputation benefit will be live until November 27 for players to utilise as they see right.
