Valve's new Steam Machine arrives in 2026 with strong specs for 4K gaming. Several mini PCs under $500 already handle SteamOS, gaming, and media streaming with comparable power. These alternatives offer immediate access at lower prices.
Valve has revealed a new Steam Machine designed for living room play, with SteamOS software, two storage configurations, and a hardware platform based on AMD Zen 4 CPU and AMD RDNA 3 graphics. The company states the system targets 4K gaming at 60fps using AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution, with a planned release in 2026.
