Switch to Bing AI: Microsoft prompts Google Bard users with pop-up in Edge browser

Microsoft is trying to lure Google Bard users to switch to Bing AI instead of Google’s experimental AI chatbot. This new tweak was noticed by developer Vitor de Lucca on Twitter. According to Lucca, when users open Bard on Microsoft’s Edge browser, they are shown a button to compare answers with Bing. When the button is clicked, a new animated slide appears saying “compare answers with the AI-powered new Bing” in the upper right corner of the screen.

After that, the text slides back to the right, leaving a Bing icon that, when clicked, opens Microsoft Edge’s new split view, allowing users to compare answers side-by-side. However, this feature is currently only available with version 114.0.1807.1 of the Microsoft Edge developer build, so not everyone can try it out just yet.
