Sony Unveils 13 Exciting New PS VR2 Games, Including ‘Tetris Effect’ and ‘Rez Infinite’

Sony has announced 13 additional titles for its upcoming PS VR2 headset, set to launch on February 22nd. The new titles include popular games such as Tetris Effect: Connected, Rez Infinite, and Thumper, which are already available on PS VR or other platforms.

Owners of Tetris Effect or Rez Infinite for PS4 and PS VR will be able to upgrade to the PS5 (which is playable without the headset) and PS VR2 version for $10. However, it should be noted that PS VR versions are not compatible with the new hardware.

One of the new features of PS VR2 is its eye-tracking technology, which will be showcased in games such as Rez Infinite and Before Your Eyes. In Rez Infinite, players will be able to track and aim at enemies using their eyes, while in Before Your Eyes, the game advances time when players blink.

Other games that will be available on PS VR2 include NFL Pro Era, multiplayer shooter Pavlov VR, Kayak VR: Mirage, and What The Bat? (from the creators of What The Golf?). Additionally, 3D jigsaw title Puzzling Places and the rhythm game Synth Riders will offer free upgrades for PS VR owners. Rounding out the latest announcements are Song in the Smoke: Rekindled, Creed: Rise to Glory – Championship Edition and The Last Clockwinder.

Sony expects more than 30 titles to be available for the platform by the end of March. The base package, which includes Sense controllers and stereo headphones, will cost $550 and will require a PS5 to use. Furthermore, Polyphony has revealed more details about the free PS VR2 update for Gran Turismo 7, which will be available on launch day and will allow players to play almost the entire game, including online races, in virtual reality, but not splitscreen two-player races while the headset is on.
