Electronic Arts has reportedly agreed to pay a cost of £488 million (more than $588 million), according to SkySports, in order to maintain its status as the English Premier League’s main partner and to keep the virtual rights to the majority of the league’s teams. 20 Premier League clubs were informed on Friday at a crucial meeting that a new, 6-year contract with EA Sports will soon be formalised. According to reports, EA Sports will pay more than £80 million ($96 million) year for the agreement, which is more than twice as much as the value of the two parties’ first partnership.
