Sleep Reset App Shows Promise in Helping Users Get More Sleep

Sleep Reset, an app developed to improve sleep quality without the use of drugs, claims to have evidence to back up its effectiveness. A group of researchers from the University of Arizona’s Sleep and Health Research Program, who also serve as medical advisors for the company, recently published a paper in the peer-reviewed journal Frontiers in Sleep. The study highlights the results of a 12-week program utilizing Sleep Reset, which reportedly increased the average participant’s sleep duration by 44 minutes.

For those who were getting less than six hours of sleep per night, the program resulted in an average increase of 85 minutes of sleep time. Some participants experienced improved sleep duration by falling asleep earlier. The study notes that individuals who typically spent 30 minutes awake before drifting off managed to reduce that time by 53 percent. Similarly, those who typically spent an hour trying to fall asleep were able to decrease their wakefulness by 41 percent. Furthermore, participants who previously woke up more than three times during the night reported two fewer awakenings. Additionally, nearly half of the participants stopped using sleep aids after completing the Sleep Reset program.
