Silent Hill: Ascension has been panned by gamers for being “completely garbage”

When Silent Hill:Ascension was announced, there was a lot of excitement as the game promised to allow gamers to have an entirely interactive experience, and even vote on the outcomes of the game that influences its plot. However, now that the game has launched, gamers are taking to social media to voice their grievance for the game, thanks to micro transactions and the fact that they need to purchase season passes for upcoming content.

Ascension had the potential to be an absolute game changer for the industry as the potential to influence the plot was something that not a lot of games offered. Now, the developers did announce that while it is free to sign up and watch the game unfold, the ability to vote on major decisions, depended on influence points, which gamers could earn for free (not so easy), or purchase for real-world money.

How much do these influence points?

Silent Hill put out an official announcement on social media and on their official website that gamers can purchase the season pass, along with in-game content and influence points for $19.99, and this has not gone down well with gamers, who have shown their displeasure by giving poor ratings to the game. “This app is completely garbage. You [put] microtransactions in it? Really? Lmao this is a joke for Silent Hill and the app interface is horrible. I deleted it. You should too,” one Twitter user wrote in a tweet directed at the Silent Hill: Ascension account.

“I’m ok with Silent Hill: Ascension looking like a s****y Until Dawn knockoff with QTEs ripped straight out of Man of Medan. What I’m not ok with is a narrative-focused horror game having a f****ng season pass and microtransactions. I fear for [the] SH2 remake and Silent Hill F”, another user tweeted.
