The already excellent sound quality of the third-generation cans seems to have been maintained: both feature 42-millimeter drivers calibrated for “brilliant dynamics, clarity, and melody.” However, the Momentum 4s should provide better voice call performance. Sennheiser has also abandoned physical button controls in favor of the touch and swipe motions used by other popular noise-canceling headphones. While the new headphones no longer fold up, they do come with an enhanced hardshell case.
