Samsung Introduces Galaxy Note 4, Note Edge in Dubai

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced the expansion of its flagship Galaxy Note series with the new Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge. The devices were launched in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region at an exclusive event at the Park Hyatt in Dubai, UAE, as part of an international world tour. Dubai was chosen as one of only a handful of cities in the world to host the Note 4 tour, showcasing the latest line up to the MENA region. ?

?“With the Middle East and North Africa region leading the world’s smartphone penetration and with some of the industry’s most discerning, technologically savvy consumers, Dubai brings a strong tie between technology and trade, and is a natural port-of-call for the Middle East leg of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 World Tour,” said Choong Ro Lee, president of Samsung Middle East and North Africa.

“Elements of the latest device, including its larger screen size and iconic S Pen technology, has launched a new benchmark in smartphone culture, and captures the demands of the MENA,” he added, referring to the devices’ Arabic Writing Recognition feature that instantly digitizes Arabic handwritten text.”

A much more authentic pen experience, the S Pen has a natural brush effect that perfectly emulates writing on paper with a fountain or calligraphy pen, providing users with the most unique and powerful mobile experience on the market. Appreciating the significance of the Arabic language, this feature preserves the organic, free-flowing nature of handwritten Arabic text, while digitizing the language for social media and professional platforms—appealing to bilingual students and working professionals in the region alike.

The Galaxy Note 4 also sports an advanced 16 megapixel rear-facing camera system that is able to reproduce brighter and clearer images, featuring a Smart Optical Image Stabilizer that counter-balances camera shake and automatically extends exposure time in dark settings.

Another unique introduction at the Galaxy Note 4 World Tour reflects Samsung’s relentless pursuit of the best in innovation, leading to the debut of the inventive and unique Galaxy Note Edge for the first time in the region. The Galaxy Note Edge’s unique curved Edge screen provides quick access to frequently used apps, alerts and device functionality – even when the cover is closed – all with the swipe of a thumb. Users can also receive notifications directly on the Edge Screen while watching videos without disturbing their viewing.

??The Galaxy Note 4 will be available in “Charcoal Black,” “Frost White,” “Bronze Gold,” and “Blossom Pink” in most of the markets in the Middle East and North Africa from mid-October. The Galaxy Note Edge will be available in “Charcoal Black” and “Frost White”, and will be introduced in the UAE first.
